Ex-Dando suspect bailed

THE man cleared of killing Jill Dando has appeared in court accused of raping a girl, 14.

Barry George, 65, is charged with rape and two counts of indecent assault against the same child.

The incidents are alleged to have taken place in west London in 1987.

Mr George, who lives in Co Cork, Ireland, appeared at the Old Bailey in London via videolink for a plea and case management hearing.
