SIR JIM RATCLIFFE has been fishing in Iceland as Manchester United battle to land the big catches they really need.

That's right, the top man at Manchester United is conducting business meetings on transfers on an island in the North Atlantic.

The local boy, who is supposedly saving the club, really does not seem to like being in the city where the football team he has a stake is based.

Ruben Amorim was invited to join the travelling party, but they then thought twice about taking the manager away from the players in the buildup to a preseason game against Leeds in Stockholm today.

This is not some sort of strange joke.
