IF you think an actor's performance stinks - you might be closer to the mark than you imagined.

Whiff of success: Sir Gary Oldman has won praise for his role as shambolic Jackson Lamb, above right, in TV spy drama Slow Horses. But his trademark Mackintosh really does smell as bad as it looks, according to Mick Herron, author of the books that the show's based on. He says: "It stinks to high heaven...I think they dragged it through a farm yard on a wet night."
