Veteran Jay still has the drive

VETERAN Wakefield loose forward Jay Pitts insists he does not know the secret to his longevity.

The experienced No.13 turns 36 in December, but signed a new two-year deal with his hometown club this week.

He has been playing some of the best rugby of his career and fully intends to fire on towards his 38th birthday.

Pitts, who hopes to help in-form Trinity to a fourth successive win when they visit his former club Leeds today, said: "I'm over the moon to have signed again.

"I've enjoyed this season. The way we're playing at the moment suits my style of play and the players I've got around me make it a lot easier for me.
