SOGGY Britain is set to be drenched by a 1,000km-wide "Atlantic cyclone" this weekend.

Torrential rain will engulf the country as the fierce weather system comes in.

Wales and the north of England will be worst hit, with 1cm of rain set to fall per hour tomorrow.

Netweather forecaster Jo Farrow warned of "a slow-moving Atlantic cyclone lumbering in from the west".
