AI reads document burnt by Vesuvius
A VOLCANO-charred 2,000-yearold scroll is being deciphered thanks to AI and X-ray imaging.
The document from the Roman town of Herculaneum, stored at Oxford's Bodleian Library, has been too fragile to open after it was burnt during an eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD.
