Lag freed by mistake hands himself in..and gets light from a prison officer

A LAG has handed himself in three days after he was freed from jail in a huge gaffe.

Surrey Police had launched an urgent manhunt for William "Billy" Smith, 35, who was wrongly released from HMP Wandsworth on Monday.

But yesterday he gave himself up and was snapped having a fag with a prison officer outside the nick.
