THE Aussie media has torn into Joe Root in their latest sledging ahead of the second Test in Brisbane.

Oz rag The West Australian ran the headline “Deaths, taxes and whiny Poms!” over his comments about pink-ball games.

Joe was asked if the Ashes needed the day-night matches, to which he replied: “I personally don’t think so.”
