WATFORD fans are in open revolt, with head coach Tom Cleverley on Death Row and the cost of firing managers hitting a monster £20m in five years.

Cleverley takes charge of the Hornets at Coventry today in what is likely to be his final game after leaked reports in Spain revealed former Villarreal boss Jose Martin Rojo, also known as Pacheta, has agreed to replace him.

Following a fierce backlash from supporters on social media, Watford were forced to issue a bizarre statement on Thursday night confirming Cleverley will be in the dugout at the CBS Arena.

The official diktat claimed the links with Pacheta were "pure speculation".
