Rayner admits she underpaid flat tax

ANGELA Rayner was last night battling for her political future after admitting she underpaid stamp duty on her £800,000 seaside flat.

The Deputy Prime Minister, inset, referred herself to the PM's ethics adviser after stating she will have to pay more property tax.

She incorrectly paid the lower rate on the apartment in Hove, East Sussex, she said.

Experts have said the extra bill could be as much as £40,000.
