ANDY ROBERTSON has revealed it was him who made the decision to shun January interest from Tottenham and stay with Liverpool.

The Reds were happy to listen to what their long-serving left-back wanted before an injury to Joe Gomez depleted an already stretched defensive department further.

The call was taken for the Scotland skipper to stay on Merseyside and Robertson says the choice was his to make as he opened up on what the future may hold for him as he prepares to turn 32 next month.

Robertson (above) is entering the final months of his Anfield contract and hinted he is open to extending his stay at the club even further.
