Squadron leader Steve aims to fly high with help from Red Arrows

STEVE BORTHWICK predicted the sky is the limit for his England team after a visit to see how the Red Arrows operate.

Borthwick and his coaching staff visited the aerobatics display team at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire before Christmas to talk teamwork, adaptability and organisation.

They sat in on a post-flight debrief with pilots headed by Squadron Leader Jon Bond, team leader and Red 1, described as an ‘honest, noblame session’.

And Borthwick revealed the lessons learned as England aim to get their Six Nations off to a flying start against Wales next month.

The head coach said: “The lead pilot talked about what he wants from his team members.
