AXEL TUANZEBE has played under Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Luciano Spalletti - but Kieran McKenna is the boss that blew his mind.

When the former Manchester United defender, 27, first put pen to paper on an initial one-year deal with Ipswich back in 2023, it took just one training session to realise he'd signed for the perfect club.

Tuanzebe, who knew McKenna from his spell at Old Trafford, said: "I've worked with him for a long time.

"It's incredible in terms of the amount of detail he goes into.

"He and his team are at the training ground from 7am until 7pm, it's unbelievable.

"It's about little details, marginal gains and he throws it all in.

"It's a very good environment, more so than what I expected.

"When I first trained I remember thinking, 'Oh my gosh, this is as good as anywhere I've ever been'."
