After 15 years on Call The Midwife, the actress is ready to do something very different.

Her dream role would be a high-octane crime drama like Line Of Duty.

Helen, 41, told the Daily Star Sunday: "It would be lovely to do a role in something modern. I'd like to do something very different.

"A crime drama would be great... absolutely. If I did something like Line Of Duty I'd be dealing with dead bodies instead of births!"

Helen has been starring in Call The Midwife since it launched in 2012.

It means millions of viewers have only ever seen her playing feisty nurse Trixie.
