GOSDENS COLT HAS THE DERBY STAYING POWER

JOHN GOSDEN can land his third success in Flat racing's greatest race by saddling DAMYSUS (3.30) to victory in Saturday's Betfred Derby.

Aidan O'Brien may dominate the betting for the Epsom classic with Delacroix and The Lion In Winter.

But the charge of Gosden (below) - who now trains in partnership with son Thady - looks the perfect type for the undulations of the famous Surrey track, just like his first winner of the race 28 years ago, Benny the Dip.

Damysus was beaten by the reopposing Pride Of Arras, trained by Ralph Beckett, who impressed when winning the Dante Stakes at York in the middle of May.
