MORE THUNDER passed his toughest test with flying colours in the Group Two Visit Malta Hungerford Stakes at Newbury - and the top level now beckons.

Those punters who drew when the William Haggas-saddled colt landed a gamble by a nose in Newmarket’s Bunbury Cup five weeks earlier went in again for the rise to Pattern company - More Thunder went off the 6-4 favourite ina field of 10.

And Tom Marquand’s mount landed the money in style, powering to the front inside the final furlong to beat Witness Stand by an easy two and a quarter lengths.
