A MAN has been arrested after a statue of Sir Winston Churchill was defaced with graffiti branding the former Prime Minister a “Zionist war criminal”.
The Metropolitan Police said the 38-year-old was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated criminal damage yesterday. Later, he was further arrested on suspicion of supporting proscribed organisation Palestine Action.
