Vegas race won't be affected by floods

FLASH flooding in Las Vegas is not expected to impact on this weekend's big-race action.

Heavy downpours on Tuesday left standing water on some streets of the Nevadan city.

Dramatic social media footage showed flooding in several areas of the city, including some clips showing standing water on one small section of the street circuit.

Arriving in Las Vegas on Tuesday evening, Record Sport witnessed cars traversing large puddles several inches deep on the roads close to Harry Reid International Airport, to the south of the city.
