Everitt upbeat on last-16 chance despite resting big guns for vital clash with Russell and Co

SEAN EVERITT reckons Edinburgh can get the result they need in tonight's Champions Cup clash with Bath - even though he has given some of his most important players the weekend off.

The capital club are a point behind the English giants at the top of Pool Two. And, with the top four teams going through from each pool of six, Everitt's side will book their place in the last 16 if they get at least two match points from this last pool game.

The head coach has rested forwards Pierre Schoeman, Magnus Bradbury and Liam McConnell along with fullback Wes Goosen.

And he will also be without British & Irish Lion Duhan van der Merwe as well as a host of other injured players.

Bath are close to full strength. Finn Russell starts at 10, while his Scotland teammate Cameron Redpath is on the bench.
