Engineer sues over 'privacy and dignity' fears

A FEMALE engineer began using a “secret toilet” at her workplace after encountering a transgender colleague in the women's bathrooms, an employment tribunal has heard.

But Maria Kelly feared that she would be put on the “naughty step” by her bosses, at defence firm Leonardo's Edinburgh HQ, if she mentioned it.

Ms Kelly said she did not want to “sacrifice my privacy and my dignity” by sharing toilets with a man and is suing her employer.
