Top clubs fear academy cuts as SFA consider funding change

SCOTLAND'S top clubs are fearing a six-figure loss in their academy budgets.
The SFA has indicated annual payments via Club Academy Scotland (CAS) could be stopped.
The governing body, represented by Andy Gould and Chris Docherty, are set to meet with clubs and academy directors today to go through how they plan to move forward and restructure youth football in the country.
Clubs are waiting to see what the new masterplan entails but the possible loss of income being suggested is a major issue.
