Fan backlash at US President's policies
MICHAEL Crawford faces growing calls to turn down a top US arts award from Donald Trump amid anger at the president's policies.
The star, who played Frank Spencer in Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em was this week named as one of the honourees for the Kennedy Center Honours.
Trump hailed the actor and singer as “an international sensation” for playing ‘one of the greatest roles in the history of Broadway’ in the Phantom of the Opera.
But critics and fans have urged the actor to follow Tom Cruise, who has reportedly declined the award.
