Yamada insists he can fill Parkhead scoring void left by hero countryman

- BY MICHAEL GANNON

SHIN YAMADA has told Brendan Rodgers he can be just as deadly as Kyogo Furuhashi.

The Celtic gaffer is desperate to add more firepower after Nicolas Kuhn's exit for Como and Jota's long-term injury.

The Hoops also failed to land a replacement for Kyogo when the frontman left for Rennes in January. Yamada checked in on a £1.5million deal from Kawasaki Frontale this month but Rodgers admitted he could be one for the future.

The Japan frontman is convinced he can be a man for the here and now - and is ready to fill the void.
