Moody Blues singer & bassist John Lodge dies at age of 82

THE Moody Blues star John Lodge will be widely remembered for his part in the band’s classic hits such as Nights in White Satin.

But despite his success in one of the UK's biggest groups, family always came first for the bassist and singer, who has “suddenly and unexpectedly” died at the age of 82.

Lodge’ religious beliefs were also a fundamental part of who he was.

In a statement, his family said: “As anyone who knew this massive-hearted man knows, his enduring love of his wife, Kirsten, and his family, was the most important thing to him, followed by his passion for music, and his faith.”
