EX-RANGERS star Scott Arfield is hoping to turn a vacant shop near Ibrox into a pub.
Arfield, 34, has submitted a planning application to open a licenced premises on Copland Road - just a five-minute walk from the ground he used to play in.
The former Light Blues midfielder has set his sights on 150 Copland Road, which used to be the site of the club's official merchandise shop.
Arfield, who was released by the club in May after 144 games, submitted an application to Glasgow City Council on May 17. The plans purpose a change of use for the premises to a public bar with no cooking facilities.
