Scotland trails rest of UK over app because SNP leader is 'an analogue politician' in a digital age'

WES Streeting yesterday described the First Minister as an “analogue politician in a digital age".

The UK Health Secretary said Scots were “missing out” due to John Swinney’s failure to create an NHS app.

Streeting said there was “no excuse” for the Scottish Government not to have an app similar to the one in England - in place for six years.

Swinney hailed plans for an NHS Scotland app but it is currently limited to a trial for dermatology patients in Lanarkshire.

A national rollout is not expected before 2030.

Streeting has vowed to improve the use of technology in the NHS south of the Border.
