Veteran Armstrong desperate to add to the medal collection in his attic by helping boyhood club enjoy more Hampden glory
STUART ARMSTRONG wants to hit the Scottish Cup heights with Aberdeen so he can add another medal to his lofty collection.
The midfielder won the competition twice with Celtic in a haul of eight major honours in four seasons at Parkhead.
And the 33-year-old would love to make it a hat-trick and add to his medal stash hidden away in his attic.
The holders take on a Dunfermline side - who dumped Hibs in the last round - tonight aiming to land a Hampden semifinal spot and take a big step closer to lifting the trophy again.
Armstrong's gongs may be out of sight but they aren't out of mind as he said: "They are in my house up in the loft where I keep all my football stuff.
"That sounds quite bad but that's where everything is from over my career.
"Once I retire I'd like to do something with it and tidy it up because it's just a lot of things thrown together right now.
"There's some stuff up there that I'm really, really proud of and I hope, not to make a shrine, but something to remind myself of the journey.
"It would be fantastic to add another medal to that.
