Sonar signals end of agony waiting

POLICE Scotland is at last investing in sonar equipment, which could prove vital during agonising searches for people who go missing in water.

It's welcome news for specialist officers in the dive and marine units who are called out to search rivers, lochs and inlets during difficult conditions.

But it’s the grieving families and friends of two men who endured painfully long searches for their own loved ones who deserve recognition for this overdue upgrade.
