Man U experience can help Ethan star at Dens

- BY NEIL ROBERTSON

ETHAN HAMILTON aims to use the great grounding he was given as a kid at Manchester United to make a big impact as a senior pro in with Dundee.

The Scottish midfielder made the move from his home in Edinburgh to the English giants when he was just 15.

Hamilton eventually trained with the first team at Old Trafford, alongside superstars like Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Marcus Rashford and a young Scott McTominay.

Hamilton left United to play for Peterborough, Accrington and Lincoln. Now, the 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal with Dundee and hopes to make his Scottish debut tomorrow in the derby against United at Dens.

Hamilton said: “I started going down to Manchester when I was 12, every school holiday. Then I made the move at 15, spending six years there.

“At first my gran moved down with me, then my mum so I had that family support.

“It was a great experience and having that grounding to go on and have a career was really good.
