GOING STALE Saints are held at home by County last week

ST JOHNSTONE have fired blanks in their last two Championship games so boss Simo Valakari will be looking to come out all guns blazing at Gayfield today.

Stalemates at home to Ayr and Ross County have allowed Partick Thistle to cut Saints' lead to six points, with the Jags also having a game in hand.

But the bookies reckon the leaders will get back on track today, with McBookie pricing them at just 8/15 for a win in Arbroath.

The Red Lichties are in decent form though after following up an excellent 1-1 draw at Firhill with a 4-1 thrashing of Queen's Park.

So I'm going to combine BTTS and over 2.5 goals at 114/100 with McBookie, even though that bet has backfired for me with Saints in the last two weeks.
