Penge primed to push Rory after watching his win from sick bed

MARCO PENGE will launch his bid to knock Rory Mcliroy off his European No.1 perch - after watching him scale it to cope with life in his sick bed.

The 27-year-old bids to end his roller-coaster year on another high by beating Mcllroy to claim the DP World Tour Championship.

The past 12 months have seen the now world No.29 go from just saving his card to three wins, an invite to the Masters and a PGA Tour card. Penge, 27, has also served a betting ban and been diagnosed with ADHD.

Now for the final event of 2025, the English-born star will go head to head with the Masters champion for the first two rounds at the Jumeirah Golf Estates.
