A MAN has appeared at court charged with the murder of a dad whose body was found in a field last month.

Emergency crews raced to a field near High Mathernock Farm in Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire, on November 11, after receiving reports of a body being found.

It was later formally identified as 50-year-old Robert Best, who had been reported missing from Greenock on the same day.

A total of six people have now been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
