A SCOTTISH Labour MP has been accused of hypocrisy after he backed the UK Government's welfare reforms - despite warning Scottish independence would cause benefit cuts.

Blair McDougall was one of five Scottish Labour MPs who signed a letter saying the UK Government's proposed reforms were “truly progressive” — just days after it was reported that the Government wants to cut £6billion from the benefits bill.
