Baird insists Steward's a top Saint

JACK BAIRD says St Johnstone keeper Toby Steward's brilliance belies his tender years.
The 20-year-old is starring on loan from Portsmouth, proving to be the last-gasp hero against Dunfermline four nights ago with a trio of top saves.
Experienced defender Baird played with Viljami Sinisalo at Ayr when the Celtic and Finland goalie was only 18 and sees shades of that class in hot prospect Steward in Perth.
Saints head to Airdrie tonight looking to carve out an eight point cushion at the summit and Baird, 29, said: “He didn't have to make many saves and his distribution and handling were good.
