FRANCO SMITH reckons Sione Tuipulotuss return is great news for Glasgow.

The Scotland skipper makes his first Warriors appearance of the campaign against Benetton this afternoon.

Tuipulotu missed a large chunk of matches earlier this year with a pec injury that also kept him out of the Six Nations.

But he has been named in the starting lineup alongside captain Kyle Steyn as Glasgow look to get one over the Italians.

Smith said: “Sione has hardly been involved with us in the last six months.

“So I could see the excitement this week from his perspective.

“Obviously, he wants to get a bit of continuity going into the Scotland autumn nations period.
