JOHN HIGGINS "lived to fight another day in his quest to sneak into the Champion of Champions at the last attempt.

The 49-year-old Scot produced a characteristic comeback to down Ben Woollaston 6-4 from 3-0 and 4-2 behind on the opening day of the International Championship in Nanjing, World No.14 Higgins said: "It was good to win but I was poor.
I didn't play great.
"I live to fight another day.
You see other players during tournaments getting through a lucky game and they might go on and play well. I'm hoping that might happen for me." Dean Young suffered a tough 6-4 defeat to two-time Scottish Open winner Gary Wilson.
