BEAUTIFUL, clever, funny, Margot Robbie is one of Hollywood's rare stars who manages to feel both glamorous and accessible.

But in an industry that can tear women down as quickly as it builds them up, some wonder whether the golden girl is losing her shine.

Following the $1billion domination of Barbie, Margot is back on the big screen in Emerald Fennell’s controversial Wuthering Heights adaptation opposite Jacob Elordi.

The film has landed with mixed-to-brutal reviews - and suddenly, questions are being asked.

Fans have accused Hollywood of manufacturing chemistry between Margot, 35, and Elordi, 28. Once praised for her goofy charm, Margot’s unfiltered interviews fuelled public affection. But what felt spontaneous has started to feel rehearsed.

"Every major star hits a visibility tipping point," says leading brand and culture expert Nick Ede.
