Gray: Rest & be thankful to the SPFL

DAVID GRAY insists the SPFL deserve praise for giving Scottish clubs a helping hand in Europe after Hibs postponed their clash with Falkirk.

The Leith side will have a free weekend in between the two-legged Conference League playoff tie with Legia Warsaw as they look to make the group stage.

That will give Gray and his players a break following seven games in 25 days across a demanding run domestically and on the continent.

The SPFL brought in the new policy for this season and Gray is delighted it will be an even playing field - with Legia also postponing their clash with Jagiellonia Białystok.

The Hibs boss said: "That was something we knew was always going to be an option.
