Gogic has trampolining with his kid to thank for wonder strike

ALEX GOGIC has revealed the secret behind the best goal of his career - trampolining with his son.

The defender's acrobatic effort against Hearts helped St Mirren reach the Premier Sports Cup quarterfinals seven days ago.

Now the Cypriot has Rangers in his sights when returning to Premiership business tomorrow.

And he is bound to still have a spring in his step thanks to his six-year-old lad Milan.

Gogic latched on to a Declan John chip to score a scissor-kick volley for his first goal of the season.

The 31-year-old said: “The gaffer said, ‘Be inventive, don't be robotic’.

“T know Deccy has that ball in him, so it was just nice to see it coming towards me.

“And I thought, ‘Just do it’. Idon't know, maybe playing with my son Milan on the trampoline has helped with practising those volleys!

“He said, ‘One day, shoot at the goalie’. After watching it back, it's probably my top goal - for now!

“When I connected and saw the net moving I thought, ‘Oh my God, it’s in’.

“Then I was a bit scared I might have been offside.
