Fires lead to fears of gang war

A SERIES of firebombings is believed to be a reprisal for an underworld heist threatening to plunge Edinburgh into a gang war.
An arsonist torched the Belle Cheveux beauty salon in Albert Street at 2.30am on March 6.
On Monday, firefighters battled through the night to tackle an inferno at a storage warehouse in Musselburgh.
An underworld source says both businesses were torched in retaliation for a theft from a new gangland player in the city.
