Experts: Fitness guru could spark eating disorders with 'relapse' talk

FITNESS guru Joe Wicks has sparked a backlash from experts after saying he "relapsed" on his journey to ban sugar from his diet.

Health professionals have called on The Body Coach, 39, to retract an online video in which he described eating a packet of Jaffa Cakes, saying it could trigger eating disorders.

Wicks also appeared to “demonise” eating fruit in the clip posted this month on Instagram, where he has more than 4.8 million followers.

GP Dr Michael Mrozinski questioned how Wicks has not been “cancelled”. He said: “[Joe] should know better demonising a whole set of food groups. It could trigger people to have eating disorders.”
