Liam earns Bairns point as Hibs blow 2-goal lead

- GORDON PARKS

FALKIRK fought back from two down to claim a share of the spoils and leave Hibs searching for a first win since the opening day of the season.

Martin Boyle and Jamie McGarth strikes had the capital club coasting before Ross MacIver and Liam Henderson netted to earn a point for the battling Bairns.

Hibs keeper Raphael Sallinger came to his side's rescue twice in the opening moments to make blocks from Ethan Williams and MacIver.

Kieron Bowie twice nodded tame headers into Scott Bain's arms and the Bairns keeper made a superb 17th-minute save to deny Martin Boyle when clear on goal.

Hibs opened the scoring on the half-hour in another controversial VAR moment.

Williams was harshly judged to have handled a cross from close range and Boyle slammed home the spot-kick.

McGrath doubled the lead two minutes before the break with a clinical finish before MacIver reduced the deficit in first-half injury time.
