Migrant sex offender freed in jail bungle is back in custody after police appeal and set to be deported
THE asylum seeker sex offender mistakenly released from prison was led away by police yesterday after being re-arrested following a two-day manhunt.
Ethiopian national Hadush Kebatu was spotted by a member of the public.
Kebatu was led away with his hands behind his back by female officers in Finsbury Park, London.
He had been jailed for 12 months in September for the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl but was wrongly freed from Chelmsford prison in Essex on Friday instead of being sent to an immigration detention centre.
A witness said: "There was one plain-clothes female officer and another woman officer in uniform.
"Two uniformed male officers wearing blue forensics gloves joined them and put him in the back of a van.
