5 injured in beach craft crash as pilots are saved by palm trees
PILOTS of a helicopter that spun out of control over a bustling beach and crashed, injuring five people, were saved by palm trees.
Horrified sunbathers watched as the aircraft seemed to be coming in to land but then rose in the air, began spinning down wildly and nosediving.
One woman witness could be heard saying: “He's changed his mind. Oh no, no, no. Oh my God, oh my God.”
Five people were taken to hospital, including the two pilots who were safely pulled from the wreckage.
