Thelin promises quartet are still in his plans

JIMMY THELIN has assured his Euro outcasts they still have important parts to play in Aberdeen's season.

Summer signings Alfie Dorrington, Kenan Bilalovic, Mitchel Frame and Kjartan Mar Kjartansson have been left out of the squad for their Conference League group stage campaign.

Thelin had to submit his squad by 11am on Tuesday and brought in deadline-day signing Jasper Karlsson while fellow recruits Kevin Nisbet and Stuart Armstrong helped to boost the homegrown quota.

The Scottish Cup-winning boss also had to find space for Kristers Tobers and Emmanuel Gyamfi, who were left out of the squad for the Europa League playoff with FCSB because of injury.
