£12m money launderer tried to get rid of dirty cash deals paper ledger

A DIRTY cash gangster has been locked up after trying to flush a £12million money-laundering operation down the toilet.

Ronald Russell, 47, from Linwood, Renfrewshire, was sentenced to four years and six months at the High Court in Glasgow after admitting culpability.

Police swooped on Russell's home in March 2024 and caught him kneeling at the toilet, trying to destroy a ledger documenting the movement of huge sums of cash over the previous year.
