400 POLICE OFF SICK OVER THEIR MENTAL HEALTH

One cops been absent for nearly FIVE YEARS

ALMOST 400 cops in Scotland are off sick with mental health problems - with one absent for nearly five years.

Figures from Police Scotland under Freedom of Information show 398 are on leave with what it describes as psychological disorders.

Of that total, 303 have been off for more than a month, with one absent for the past 1784 days - around four years and 10 months.

Cops are going on leave with mental health conditions including stress, depression and anxiety.
