Wrexham secure signing of Forest player O’Brien

WREXHAM appear to have shattered their transfer record with the signing of Nottingham Forest player Lewis O'Brien.
It was reported earlier this month that the Red Dragons had agreed a £5million deal for the midfielder. However, negotiations between the newly promoted Championship side and the 26-year-old hit difficulties over personal terms.
Significant progress was made this week, though, with the club comfirming the signing for an undisclosed fee, yesterday.
O’Brien had an impressive loan spell in the second tier with Swansea City during the latter part of last season, following a stint with LAFC in the US.
The Swans were among several Championship clubs keen to secure his services permanently, but Wrexham have outmanoeuvred their Welsh rivals.
