Tomasson won't gamble with striker's fitness
Sweden boss John Dahl Tomasson says he has no plans to “do stupid things” with Alexander Isak as the new Liverpool striker gets set for his first minutes since May this week.
And Tomasson says he has been in touch with Arne Slot following the completion of Isak’s £125m transfer deadline day switch from Newcastle United to thrash out an agreement over the forward.
Isak brought an end to a summer-long saga on Monday night when he completed a Mersey-side medical and become the most expensive player in British football history.
