POLICE asked people not to make flippant comments after a crash in a residential street in Flintshire.

The request was widely ignored following the incident in Connah's Quay, Deeside, on Friday.

An image posted by North Wales Police (NWP) showed a Landrover in collision with a parked vehicle on Pen Y Llan Street. A video posted on social media suggested at least three vehicles were involved.

The NWP North Flintshire policing team said the incident occurred around 3.30pm during the school run. Officers said the Landrover was reported stolen.

"The driver has made off from the vehicle prior to our arrival," said a spokesperson.
